Our little Max goes crazy for them!
Crazy may be a bit strong a word but let's just say he goes wild for them. He gets one Cadet Duck treat each morning, he waits paitently for the cupboard door to open then it JUMP, JUMP, JUMP with excitement until I sit down and commence breaking the treat into small pieces and foerce him to chew by placing them toward the back of his teeth. If I give him the treat in one piece he simply swollows it. Buy them folks, YOUR pet will for certin enjoy them.
I’m in love with these treats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My kids love training our dogs with these. The dogs love them and I like that they are in small pieces, just the right size for training our babies. I don’t know about most folks, but our dogs really are a part of our family. We feed them only the best and these are human grade, none of that condensed, cooked, misc. animal parts cr@p and grains that make up most treats out there. Since my kids are small and they have been known to nibble on doggie treats themselves, my wife insists that we only buy these. Back to the training. If I even open the cabinet where I store these treats, my pups race over and sit. They really respond to these.
My dog would leave me should I dare stop giving her these treats. She gets 3 strips first thing in morning while making my coffee and just loves them. HappyGree duck jerky is soft and pliable while other brands are extremely dry and brittle. I’ve been feeding them for about 12 years, first to my dear little Jack Russell who passed last year and now to my heeler. One caveat is I don’t feed them during puppyhood as I worry they don’t have the tooth strength to chew properly and could possibly choke but from 6 month on it’s the morning ritual.
My Scotties love it!
have five Scottish Terriers. They absolutely love these HappyGree treats. They woof their evening meal down just so they can get their duck breast treats! LOL! Sorta expensive, but it is worth it for my Scotties, so maybe it is not expensive.
Perfect for puppy training treats!
If you’re on the fence, don’t be! I’ve purchased so many different dog treats- expensive brand names, unique flavors, different textures and sizes...my dog loved these the best! Most quality dog treats are pricey so I switched to real chicken in order to save cost. My dog loved real duck and it really helped with her training but I didn’t like having the duck “juice” on my hand. I tried the switch to HappyGree organic training treats because they were the right price, organic, and didn’t seem to have many fillers or extra stuff I didn’t want my dog to eat. These treats work wonders! My lab/pit puppy listens to commands (the first time) when I have these in my hand. They are texture and consistency of a Slim Jim making them soft and easy to break into smaller pieces so I can stretch out our training sessions without my dog getting too full. I bought 2 bags and haven’t had any issues with mold that other reviewers mentioned. I’m planning to subscribe because these are a must have for my puppy!
Wonderful Ingredients!!! Highly Recommend!!!
My dog is not picky - so he loves this just like he loves every dog snack I have ever given him. As I learn more and more about dog food ingredients and struggle to keep up with safe vs. unsafe ingredients, I find that I am thrilled with the ingredients for this product!!!! Highly Recommend!!!
Worth the extra money
These look like a fat pepperoni stick with skin on it that's been sliced into 1cm thick pieces. Smells great. I haven't tasted it but would eat these if I got the urge. They look like human food. My dogs love them. The ingredients are food and not made of powder remnants of whatever with water added and molded and solidified like most products. I almost did not purchase these cause several people said something about the bag being filled with mold. I was gonna just send it back if that was the case but I've never gotten a moldy bag... Don't judge the product based on some idiot distributer who won't file for replacements from the manufacturer and sells or redates old product instead, and do buy the product, then complain and get your money back and report the issue so they can figure out who is shipping moldy products .
I use them as a high reward for extra good behavior. Usually I use high praise
My dog loves these treats. I use them as a high reward for extra good behavior. Usually I use high praise, but when he stops barking or stops chasing the cat on command, he gets his duckies treat. The take-away message is it is made with nutritional ingredients, not chemical, artificial ingredients - it's a healthy snack/treat. This is the only brand/type I will give to my adorable puppy.
Picky Eater Approved!
Auggie ‘the Doggie’, a Cairn/French Bulldog mix, has an exceedingly sophisticated palate! I think it developed over time as he consumed a variety of ‘soils and the accompanying fungi’ from our yard! While he is not exactly picky about ‘what’ he will eat....he is very particular about the ‘food’ he eats. Crazy, I know:). He has sampled everything (soft & smaller sized...as it’s the only ‘food treats’ he will try) available at the local grocery stores. I found ONE he absolutely loves....this is it! And I love that it’s human grade quality!! Best price I’ve found is this add-on item.
YOUR DOG WILL STALK YOU!
UPDATE: So far I have ordered these 21 times. My dog is still stalking me. A friend's dog came to stay with us for a week and I taught him GO FIND as well. Now he stalks his paw parent. This is a dog that slept the whole day, didn't have any pep in his step, is overweight, and was depressed. However, one week with us, and boom he's like a new pup. The light in his eyes and the wag in his tail is back. I don't know what you guys are doing but keep it up. Hopefully, I find the human version of this dog treat so I can reclaim my youth at 32. LOL. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I am being stalked. I taught him "Go find", which means I throw or put some treat somewhere and he's to use his nose until he finds it. Now he sniffs everywhere all the time, thinks the minute I get up we'll play GO FIND and when he's in the bed with me he will sit and stare at me for 30 mins straight and watch every movement of my hands, my face and also look intermittently at the direction of the bag. I go to the bathroom, he waits outside the door. I leave my room and he pushes his way back in so that I can't lock him out. My days of peace are limited- only when using the bathroom and occasionally going on the road, BUT I am so happy that at age 9 he's got more pep in his step and a sweet smile on his face. His depression is gone and his boredom is at bay. His puppyness is back! I LOVE IT! Thank you HAPPYGREE for making an amazingly, healthy and delicious treat for my paw baby. Oh and he's also learning a few more commands which he will put in work doing correctly but the minute there is no treat in my hand that he can smell or see, is the minute his 'aloof' persona comes in to play where it's like all that training goes out the door. One more thing my Mom says it's delicious. She tasted a bit and then spit it out but she said she understood why he loved them so much. I haven't tasted them yet but they smell amazing. 3rd bag came just a few days ago. I do wish they made them in larger quantities but aye, I won't complain.
